Sigginstown Castle renovations
Wexford County Council has granted planning permission to Gordon and Liz Jones for an extension and renovation works at the 450-year old Sigginstown Castle in Tacumshane.
The local authority has granted approval to the couple for improvement works on the property which is a recorded archaeological monument.
The approved refurbishments include a new entrance and access road, sewage treatment system, a new roof and the refurbishment of a tower house, a new roof and refurbishment of the main house and an extension to the main house which will incorporate the existing walls of an adjoining agricultural building.
Planning permission was granted subject to conditions.
