Planning permission for works at Newbay House

The Talbot Hotel Limited has been granted planning permission by Wexford County Council to carry out works on historic Newbay House in Carrick which is a protected structure.

The company which purchased Newbay in August of last year from the previous owner Denis Reid, was given approval, with conditions, for the retention and completion of extensions and alterations to the basement and ground floor levels including an extension to the plant room and the erection of a cold room and keg store, a new external stairs, a new disabled access toilet and a service lift.

The Pettitt Group which owns the Talbot Collection company has said it intends for Newbay to compliment the group’s existing hospitality businesses in Wexford, including the Talbot Hotel Hotel and Talbot Suite at Stonebridge.
