CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR

Galbally Community Centre, will host a Christmas Craft Fair on Sunday, December 2, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Lots of local crafters will be in attendance with numerous gift ideas. Come and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere, bring the kids to see Santa, and meet friends and neighbours while supporting your local community centre. Some tables still available. COMMUNITY PLAYSCHOOL AGM

The AGM of Galbally Community Playschool Committee will take place on Tuesday, November 20, at 8 p.m. in Galbally National School. Everyone is very welcome to attend.

Bingo continues every Tuesday at 9 p.m. in Gary Byrnes. Jackpot this week is €375. All ages are welcome each night. Sure to be a good night out for everyone.

30TH ANNIVERSAR­Y.

The committee of Galbally Sports and Leisure Club would like to invite you to celebrate the 30th anniversar­y of the opening of the hall taking place on December 8 in the Sports and Leisure Club. It promises to be a spectacula­r night with entertainm­ent including music, dancing, and storytelli­ng with instrument­al pieces and ballads. Licensed Bar on night. Free entry. BREE AC

Bree AC Outdoor Training takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays in the lower GAA field from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. for all athletes over eight years of age. Well done to Jayden Kenny, who won the Leinster Boys under-10 cross country and Lea Bolger, who was fourth in under-10 girls in Navan. FIRST AID COURSE.

The Order of Malta are running a First Aid Course in their Training Centre in St John’s Drive (top of St John’s Road) commencing on Thursday, November 8. The classes run each Thursday for six weeks from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. The cost of the course is €90 per person and there is no need to pre-register, simply turn up on the first night. Course content includes First Aid, Basic Life Support (CPR) and the use of Defibrilla­tors (AEDs).

The Certificat­e Awarded is in Paediatric First Aid with Basic Life Support. For more informatio­n check out our Facebook page. Remember that even a little knowledge can save a life.

CRAOBH LOCH GARMAN

The Wexford town branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann has a winter Session for members and friends at the Talbot Hotel, Wexford at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 11. The session follows the annual general meeting which starts at 3 p.m. and at which membership fees for the 2018/19-year will be accepted. This session is just one of a series of winter events – sessions, céilithe and concerts – planned by the branch as it ramps up its activities in advance of the announceme­nt by Comhaltas of the town chosen as host for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2020. It is open to musicians of all ages with a grá for traditiona­l music. Fáilte roimh cách.
