BINGO WINNER

HEALING MASS

There will be a Healing Mass and blessing of the sick in Our Lady’s Island church this Wednesday, November 7, at 3 p.m.

GAA CLUB AGM

Our Lady’s Island GAA club will hold their annual general meeting on Friday night, November 16, in Butler’s Lounge at 8 p.m. Nomination­s and motions sheets have been distribute­d to club members and should be returned to Suzanne Ellard, St Awarie’s, Our Lady’s Island, Broadway, Co Wexford by Monday, November 12. All players and members are asked to attend along with anyone who would like to get involved in the club in any way, be it as a club officer, coaching the young stars of the future or just to be a member.

MEDJUGORJE

Our Lady’s Island annual pilgrimage to Medjugorje will leave on May 13 for a week. Cost €550 Aer Lingus flights, Bed Breakfast and evening meal in Hotel. Tansfers and local guide included. Seats are limited.

BALLYCOGLE­Y PLAYERS

Thank you to the audiences who supported our one act comedies in St Michael’s Hall recently, we were delighted with the turn out and we hope you all enjoyed. Well done to everyone involved and a special mention must go to the new recruits to our group who did a wonderful job and hopefully we’ll see them star on the stage with Ballycogle­y in the future. Thanks to St Vincent de Paul and the staff at St Michael’s for their assistance over the four nights.

The next ports of call for our comedy nights are Carrig-on-Bannow on Sunday the 11th and Our Lady’s Island on Thursday, November 15. 8 p.m. start time each night and admission will be €10. We hope to see you at one of the venues.

CRAFT FAIR

A Christmas Craft Fair will take place on Friday, November 23, in Tacumshane Old School from 7.10 p.m. Homemade crafts, christmas gifts, art and Photograph­y, christmas wreaths and Logs, tea or coffee and Home baking and much more.

SPLIT-THE-POT

Until the community centre becomes available the split-the-pot draw and ‘cuppa’ will be held in the Conservato­ry of Parochial House after Sun. Mass. Congratula­tions to Billy Kavanagh on winning €120 in last week’s splitthe-pot draw.
