SOCIAL DANCING

The next date for social dancing in Oylegate community centre is Sunday night, November 11. Music is by the popular Moynihan Brothers. Dancing from 9.30 p.m. Admision is €8. Come along for a lovely nights dancing and fun.

GAA CLUB NEWS

Congratula­tions and well done to the Junior B hurlers who defeated Rathgarogu­e-Cushinstow­n to win the county final, their manager John Conroy and his back room team of Keith Whelan, Tony Moulton and Seán Dunne have had a great season with this group of players.

The lads now play Cuala of Dublin on Sunday, November 11, at 2 p.m. in Killeedy, Limerick. A bus will be going down to the match and limited seats are available, to book contact Majella at 087 2845220.

Congratula­tions to the under-15 footballer­s who won the premier division shield final on Tuesday Evening last.

GAA Draw: GAA syndicate winners of €100 each for Oct were John/Sybil Mernagh and Michael Doran Kilcotty Cross, lotto winnings were €144. Next draw will take place on November 28.

PARISH JOURNAL

The Oylegate-Glenbrien Parish Journal will be launched on Saturday, November 17, at 8.30 p.m. in Oylegate Community Centre. Details to follow later.

CRAFT FAIR 2018

The annual Craft Fair will be held in Oylegate Community Centre on Sunday, November 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tables €20 each. Refreshmen­ts available.

Exhibitors from Oylegate-Glenbrien Parish will be given first preference. Parish Exhibition­s must be booked by Tuesday, November 6, as after that all remaining tables will be open to all.

A certain number of tables will be assigned for Student’s Mini companies and again first preference will be given to students from Oylegate-Glenbrien, who should book before November 6 or else places will be given to others. To book a table please phone 087 4187674.

THURSDAY BINGO

Bingo is played every Thursday night in Mernagh’s Lounge, Oylegate at 9 p.m. The next 10 weeks raffle are in aid of the Glenbrien Church Funds. Please come along and support this cause while having a fun night out.

What great excuse to catch up with friends while fundraisin­g at the same time.

SUNDAY BINGO

Bingo continues in the Slaney Inn on Sunday nights at 8 p.m. with many cash prizes on offer. Oylegate United are the local charity currently benefiting on the night.
