CARDS

The weekly ‘30’ card game continues in the community centre this Friday, November 9, at 9 p.m. Thanks to the ladies for the tea last week. Catering on Friday, November 9, will be Catherine Moore, Kathleen O’Connor, Nancy Walsh and Tina Whelan. Catering on Friday the 16th will be Ann Marie Mackey and Ann Redmond. Catering on Friday the 23rd will be Ellie Walsh and Stella Delaney. Proceeds going to parish funds.

Card winners on Friday, October 26, were Séamus Wickham, Ann Lawlor, Seán Cullen, John Nolan, Matt O’Neill and John Hanley.

ATHLETIC CLUB NEWS

Adamstown Athletic Club will be hosting the Leinster Uneven Ages Cross Country in Adamstown on Sunday, November 11. We would appreciate any help on the day, so if you can work e.g. making sandwiches/buns/cakes or car park, track steward officials, shop staff, please contact Marie at 087 6675182.

Proceeds will go towards the new outdoor gym at the community centre which will be available for everyone in the community to use.

House of music story and song in Sully’s lounge the Maudlins, New Ross on sat November 17, from 8.30 to 11.30. All welcome.

CAMROSS DRAMA GROUP

Rehearsals continue for the upcoming hilarious three-act comedy ‘Canaries’ by Bernard Farrell. Director Michael Stafford is doing a great job, organising his 12 strong cast. Performanc­es will be as follows: Friday, November 30, and Sunday, December 2 – Camross Hall, Wednesday and Thursday, December 12, and 13 – Wexford Arts Centre. BINGO

Taghmon Action Group (TAG) presents bingo every Tuesday night in the TAG premises at 8 p.m. Also split-the-pot on the night. Tea and coffee available. Doors open at 7.30 p.m.

MEN’S SHED KINDLING

The members of the Shamrock Men’s Shed are selling bags of kindling for only €1.50 per bag. If you would like to buy kindling, the Men’s Shed is in Raheen Family Resource Centre every Monday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

COFFEE BREAK/BINGO

Raheen FRC is hosting a coffee break and bingo in Adamstown Community Centre on Tuesday, November 6, 10.30 to 12.30. Tuesday and Tuesday, December 27, and 18. Every three weeks for older members of the community. Cost is €3 all are welcome.

MASSES FOR HOLY SOULS

The November Masses for Holy Souls will take place as follows: Monday the 19th – Tomgarrow, Misterin, Rathkyle, Adamstown and Coolnagree. Tuesday the 20th – Oldcourt, Brocurra, Doononey, Woodview Drive. Wednesday the 21st – Newtown, The Leap, Knockreigh and Coonogue. Thursday the 22nd – Kellystown, Chapel, Raheenduff, The Barracks. Friday the 23rd – Glenour, Ballyvergi­n, Rathsilla and Fairfields.

May they rest in peace. Each evening we will gather in St Abban’s Oratory at 7.30 p.m. All present will receive a candle, which will be left lighting before the Blessed Sacrament. Please return your envelopes as soon as possible. You are welcome every night or any other night.
