Four groups share in €18,000 grant funding
FOUR COMMUNITY groups in the Rosslare area shared in funding of almost €18,000 as part of the fourth round of the Carnsore Wind Farm Community Fund.
Hibernian Wind Power Ltd, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the ESB, presented the awards at Our Lady’s Island Community Centre recently.
Four groups will benefit from funding. Our Lady’s Island Community Development Company Ltd will put the funds towards the purchase and installation of new energy efficient doors and windows.
St Mary’s Day Care Centre in Tagoat will use the money to upgrade to new, cost-efficient and environmentally-friendly lighting at their premises.
Scoil Mhuire in Our Lady’s Island will put the funds towards the construction of a completely green and biodegradable garden.
Finally, Tagoat Foróige Youth, will use the money to renovate their outdoor playground.
