The SVP collection in piercestown last weekend raised a total of €2,400. Many thanks to the people of Piercestown for their generosity.

ARA CLUB NEWS

December 11 – Cup cake icing and decorating demonstration and practical by Joan Radford in St Martin’s Centre at 2.30 p.m., come along get some tips for the Christmas Fayre – all welcome, non-members too.

Westport 2019 trip – A reminder to book early for Westport for next year, August 26, 2019, staying at Castle Court hotel three dbb, €350 pp sharing (price locked in before hospitality tax goes up) book early to avoid disappointment. Contact Ann at 087 6677411.

Club Christmas party Night; Reminder to all members and friends who plan to attend our Christmas party Night in Mary Barry’s Kilmore please let Ann know asap 0876677411 so you are included on the night. 7.30 p.m. start. Bus can collect you, just let us know.

Christmas Bingo/Raffle – Tuesday, December 18, will be our last day with lunch at Johnstown following by Christmas Bingo and the quarterly draw that day, don’t forget your raffle prize folks. Club will close then till Tuesday, January 8, 2019.

PIERCESTOWN SCOUT GROUP

Christmas Draw Tickets are now on sale from all Scouts and leaders – this year we are taking part in the National Scouting Ireland Draw with fantastic prizes – Tickets €2 each. Please support the young members when they come selling. thank you as usual for your support. all tickets must be returned by Tuesday next, December 4, to the local Scout Group.

SVP CHRISTMAS CAROLS

There will be Christmas carols in aid of St Vincent de Paul in Piercestown church on Wednesday, December 19, at 7 p.m.

TABLE QUIZ

There will be a table quiz on Friday, December 14, in Jordans pub Murrintown in aid of the senior citizens Christmas party. Please support.
