TV valued at €450 stolen from the back of a delivery truck

GARDAÍ are warning motorists to be vigilant, not to leave their keys in ignition after leaving a vehicle and to keep valuables well hidden following a string of incidents across Wexford in the past week.

Perhaps the most significan­t saw a brand new 43” Phillips TV valued at €450 stolen from the back of a delivery truck at Ballycogle­y at approximat­ely 3.20 p.m. on Saturday.

The driver was delivering another item to a house and when he returned to the truck, he found the TV had been stolen.

An investigat­ion is ongoing and Gardaí are appealing for anyone with any informatio­n on this theft to contact them at Wexford Garda Station.

Meanwhile, keys were allegedly stolen from the ignition of a car parked on the forecourt of the petrol station on 1798 Street in Wexford town on Wednesday afternoon.

A man was arrested in connection with the incident, and brought before Gorey District Court where he was remanded in custody to appear again today (Tuesday).

A man was arrested following the theft of items from a car at Rosslare Europort on Thursday afternoon. The incident took place at 12.57 p.m. and saw electronic items and documents removed from the car. A suspect was later apprehende­d and brought to Wexford Garda Station for questionin­g.
