It’s always interesting to look back on the price of popular cars in years gone by, and back in the late 1990s, there were a lot of Toyota Starlets on the road.

The price? Well, according to adverts for Hugh Boggan Motors that appeared 21 years ago, you could own a new ’98 Starlet for £99 per month. The up-front price was £10,760 and the £99 per month offer involved three years of payments and either a deposit or a final payment of £5,850.
