ANNUAL CAKE SALE
Our annual cake sale and raffle in aid of the day to day running of our parish in Ballymore-Mayglass will be held on Saturday evening, November 30, before and after Mass in Mayglass at 7.30 p.m. and on Sunday morning Mass in Ballymore at 10 a.m. Donations of confectionary would be very much appreciated. Your continued support is welcomed.

SCRAP SATURDAY
Ballymore Hall and St Fintan’s are running a scrap Saturday on November 30 at Bolgers Ballycogley from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All steel, batteries, farm machinery, old cars etc are accepted. No plastic, wood, glass, tyres or electric appliances are accepted.

The most recent winner of our weekly split-the-pot draw is Anthony O’Grady, who scoops €245. Well done, Anthony. Next draw takes place in Greenacres on November 25.
The under-nine boys season kicked off when they welcomed Wexford Celtic to Casey Park.
Both teams gave all spectators a brilliant game of soccer with great goals scored from both sides. Well done to all the young men involved.
Our under-11 girls travelled to Curracloe yesterday morning. A great game by all girls involved with some lovely goals scored. Well done all involved.
Our under-14 Premier team has the long journey to Aughrim yesterday morning and made it worth while coming away 4-0 winners with goals from Aoibheann Rankin (2), Ciara Murphy and Sinéad Cullen. well done to all involved.
Our second under-14 team welcomed neighbours Kilmore to Casey park, and unfortunately the visitors took all three points with 4-1 victory in a game that the score line definitely didn’t reflect the game where girls had many opportunities but just Lady Luck was not with them. Blacks’ goal came from Ava Newport. well done all involved.
The ladies’ team welcomed Cushinstown to Casey park. And came away with a point after the game ended in 2-2 draw, with blacks goals coming from Natasha Martin and Melissa Crowley. well done to all 14 ladies involved this morning.
Mixed fortunes for both our men’s teams who both were in local derby action against local neighbours Fastnet Rovers. The A team suffered their first league defeat of the season going down on a 3-1 scoreline. The B team had a resounding 3-0 win with goals from John Codd, Robert Cogley and Barry Brennan to keep their title ambitions alive.
LADIES’ FOOTBALL
The St Fintan’s Ladies’ club AGM will be held on Tuesday, November 26, at 8 p.m. in the clubhouse. We would like to thank everyone for their support during the 2019 season. The smooth running of the club is not an easy task and we would ask for anyone interested in helping in what ever way they can would be very much appreciated.

The St Fintan’s GAA Club held its first bingo session in Ballycogley hall on Sunday last at 7.30 p.m. The club has decided to run these sessions each Sunday evening and we ask that you come along to support the club, enjoy the evening of fun and take your chance on winning the jackpot or any of the many other valuable prizes. The annual St Vincent de Paul Christmas appeal takes place in all churches of the diocese of Ferns on the weekend of December 7/8. Christmas can be the most worrying time of the year for some and your continued generosity is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
KILLINICK ICA
The attendance at the most recent meeting of the Killinick ICA guild held on November 4 included president Joan Furlong and 14 fellow guild members.
The competition winners were first Breda Wright, second Mary Fenlon, third Lish McDonnell and the competition for the next, meeting is for the nicest Christmas centre piece.
The hostesses on the night were Til Kennedy and Joan Furlong and the hostesses for the December meeting will be Betty Reid and Mary Sinnott. The raffle winner was Betty Reid.
The guild will hold its Christmas dinner in Kellys hotel Rosslare on Friday, November 29, A federation meeting was held in the Riverbank hotel on November 25.
WALKING TRACK
For all our early morning walkers/runners the community walking track lights come on each morning at 6 a.m. till natural day light. The tracks lights are on seven evenings a week from 5 p.m. till 9.45 p.m. For your information one lap is equal to 575m or 0.575km or just one third of a mile.

CHRISTMAS SALE
The annual Christmas sale in aid of Balloughton church funds will take place on Saturday, December 7, in Balloughton hall starting at 2 p.m. We will have all the usual stalls cake, bric-àbrac, books, plants, toys etc and a raffle on the day. Afternoon tea will be available so everyone welcome to come along and enjoy the day.
SAD PASSING
Deepest sympathy to Phil Bennett and family Cullenstown on the death of her husband Nick on Thursday, November 14. Nick is survived by his wife Philomena son Louis, daughters Jenny, Rose and the late Elaine, brothers Tony and Vincent and sister Bessie. He will be sadly missed by his family, grandchildren, nieces, nephews relatives and friends. He reposed at Ryan’s funeral parlour on Friday with removal to Carrig church at 7 p.m., funeral Mass was at 11 a.m. on
Saturday with burial afterwards in Rathangan cemetery. May he rest in peace.

CORACH NEWS
Congratulations to the senior teams who all recorded wins last Sunday.
The Men’s A team beat Glynn-Barntown 3-2 with a brace from Niall Harney and a goal from John Staples.
The B side travelled to Kilmuckridge and recorded a 4-3 win. Alan Diskin scored two with a goal apiece from Cathal Cummins and Jordan Hayes.
The ladies side recorded their second win with a 6-2 defeat of Kilmore. Aisling Waters and Grace Donovan both scored two each with Amy Eustace and Sophie Scallan also on target.
Finally the under-14 girls had a fantastic win on Saturday when they defeated Enniscorthy 3-1. Sarah Bennett scored a hat trick.
The split-the-pot draw in Staffords Pub saw Niamh Breen win €509. Thank you all.

A HUGE THANK YOU – Thanks to all the artists and photographers who exhibited their artwork in our Art Exhibition on Friday last. The quality of work was fantastic and was admired by all who attended. Thanks to councillor Michael Sheehan, who officially opened the exhibition and thanks to everyone who attended and made the day a great success. We would also like to extend a big thank you to all the stallholders as well as the members of the community who each contributed to making the Craft Fair on Saturday the success that it was.
