CHARITY DARTS

Friends of Local People with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) invites you to the Amber Springs Hotel on Friday, December 6, at 8.30 p.m. to see the champion darts player Rob Cross in action. BULLRING CHRISTMAS MARKET

Throughout the month of December, the Bullring market will transform into a Christmas Market with many extra Traders. It will have a great choice of locally handmade gifts and crafts as well as food and curios and will also give many Transition Year mini companies an opportunit­y to sell their wares. The market will be open on December 6, 7 and 8, 13, 14 and 15, and then from December 18 until Christmas Eve. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day except Sunday when it opens at 12 p.m.

SANTA’S NORTH POLE EXPERIENCE

Enter the magical and captivatin­g world of the North Pole during Santa’s North Pole Experience, which will be on Wexford Quay this Christmas as part of Wexford Winterland.

Firstly, children and families will meet Ellie the Elf who will lead you into the Magic Forest. Then, the Enchanted Gates will lead people into the Elves’ Village where children can post their letters in Santa’s official post box. Patch the Elf will then bring families, individual­ly, to meet and receive a gift from Santa Claus.

The cost of entry varies: children aged 3-12: €17; toddlers aged 1 – 2: €8.50; children under 12 months: free; adults: €8.50. Children and toddler tickets include a gift from Santa Claus. Under 12 months tickets do not include a gift. You can book a toddler ticket for a baby if you wish.

WEXFORD ON ICE

Wexford on Ice will take place on the Quay in Wexford Town right up until January 5. Stability aids are available for first-time skaters and there is a dedicated kiddie rink and kiddie skates for the little ones.

There will also be sensory friendly and wheelchair family skate sessions on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 10.a.m. (These sensory friendly sessions will be free).

The cost to skate is €11 - €48 (prices vary at off-peak times and for family bookings).

On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, the last skate is from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wexford on Ice will be closed on Christmas Day.

ART EXHIBITION

Gorey Art Circle’s winter exhibition will take place in the Market House, Main Street, Gorey from Friday, December 6, to Sunday, December 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

POP-UP GAELTACHT

The next Pop-Up Gaeltacht will be in Mernagh’s lounge on Friday, December 6, starting at 9.30p.m. The idea is for people to meet informally in a relaxed atmosphere and to use whatever bit of Gaeilge they have.
