NEW ERA FOR WEXFORD GAA AND ZURICH WITH NEW 2020 JERSEY

-

WEXFORD GAA marked the arrival of new headline sponsor Zurich by unveiling the new 2020 jersey yesterday (Monday).

The sponsorship deal will run for an initial four-year period and will further embed Zurich, a very significant employer in Wexford, in the local sporting community.

This partnership has come about after extensive discussions with Wexford GAA’s Commercial Steering Group and will underpin the further development of their games from under-age to adult inter-county level.

Zurich has grown its presence in Wexford since 2008 and it now employs over 230 people in the county.

Micheál Mahon, Chairman of the Wexford GAA Commercial Steering Committee, said: ‘On behalf of the Wexford GAA Commercial Steering Group I am delighted to welcome Zurich on board as our primary commercial partner. We have been working with Zurich for over 12 months, from when they initially joined as a ‘Gold Corporate Partner’ of Wexford GAA.’

Anthony Brennan, CEO of Zurich Ireland, said: ‘We are incredibly proud to be the new headline sponsor of Wexford GAA and the Wexford Ladies Intermediate Football and Senior Camogie teams. We are excited to see the new men’s jersey revealed today.

‘The sponsorship is a true reflection of our values as a long-standing proud member of the Wexford business community and is consistent with Zurich’s long-term association with grass roots sport in Ireland.’
