The Scoil Eoin Baiste Christmas concert due to be held on Thursday, December 12, will now take place on Tuesday, December 17, at 7.30 p.m. in Galbally Community Centre. Our planned Carol Service will now take place on Monday, January 6, at 10 a.m. in the church.

BALLYHOGUE GAA LOTTO

The numbers drawn in this week’s GAA lotto were 1, 4, 14 and 15. The jackpot winner of €1,000 was David Conway. BREE YOUTH CLUB CAROL SINGING

Our annual Carol Singing in Bree will be held after 7 p.m. Mass on December 21 outside the church. There will be some hot refreshmen­ts available for everyone afterwards in the hall. We hope to see you all there.

GALBALLY ST STEPHEN’S DAY FUN RUN/WALK.

The time to dust down the running/walking shoes is approachin­g in time for Galbally’s’ Christmas Jumper’ festive run, walk, trot or pram push. Galbally Sports and Leisure Club will host a 5k fun run/walk on St Stephen’s Day, December 26.The event will begin at midday, with registrati­on taking place from 11.30 a.m. onwards. Entry fee is €5 for adults, €10 for a family. Refreshmen­ts will beserved in the hall afterwards. Everyone is invited to come along, wear your Christmas jumper and getinvolve­d in what promises to be a fun community event. All funds raised go towards renovation and developmen­t of Galbally Hall.

SENIOR CITIZENS TEA PARTY

Bree Macra is hosting a Bree senior citizens Afternoon Tea Party on Sunday, January 5, 2020, from two to 4.30 p.m. All senior citizens living in the parish of Bree are invited to join them for an afternoon of tea, treats, chats, entertainm­ent and festive fun. Invites are being distribute­d by members throughout December, but please contact Cait at 086 4046545 if you have not received your invite by December 23, or for further informatio­n.

YOUTH CLUB WINTER FUN RUN/WALK

It’s that time of year again for the annual winter Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, January 4, 2020. Participan­ts can choose from a 10k or 5k. Prices are €10 for adults, €5 for under-16 and kids go free. Registrati­on starts at 11.30 a.m. and race will be kicking off at 1 p.m. Raffle and spot prizes available on the day.
