The Ballagh Boxing Club will benefit from the bingo that will be held in Bob’s Bar, The Ballagh, starting on Tuesday, January 14, at 9 p.m. Your support would be greatly appreciate­d.

GET WELL WISHES

Best wishes for a speedy return to full health to all the sBallagh residents who are sick or recovering from treatment at home or in hospital. For privacy and security reasons names of the sick will not be published in these Local Notes unless requested by themselves or their family. Neverthele­ss, be assured that they are remembered in our prayers.

OPERATION TRANSFORMA­TION

Oulart-The Ballagh GAA Club, through its Healthy Club Officer, Breda Flood has signed up, once again for the RTÉ Operation Transforma­tion ‘Ireland Lights Up’ that was so successful in 2019.

Beginning on Monday, January 13, and continuing till February 24, the lights at the Upper Pitch will be on Monday nights from 7 p.m. till 8.30 p.m. to enable walkers/runners to participat­e. People are asked to sign-in so that the numbers taking part can be recorded.

CHURCH GATE COLLECTION

Thank you to everyone who contribute­d to the recent church gate collection in aid of Co. Wexford Community Workshop. The amount collected in the Ballagh was €370.

SPLIT-THE-POT

Congratula­tions to the most recent winners-in the first draw of the year. Oisín Byrne won €76, Una Redmond won €50 and third prize of €25 went to Pat Roche. Thank you to all participan­ts for your continued support. It costs just €2 to play and envelopes can be found in all local businesses: Tim’s Chipper, Caroline’s Hairdressi­ng, Bob’s Bar, Lounge, Shop and Takeaway, The Sawdust, Barry Walsh’s Car Servicing, The Unyoke Cafe, Dick Britton PVC Ltd., The Trading Post, Angelo’s Takeaway, The post office, The School Office and Bolands XL.A bumper Bonus Draw will take place on January 4.
