COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT DAY
There will be a’stand’ in Londis Piercestown from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, January 31, relating to National Community Engagement Day, this stand will be manned by two Wexford Gardaí. Please come along and discuss any issues you may have in or around the community. There will be leaflets handed out on day on various subjects.
SCOUT GROUP NEWS
Cubs and Beavers re-opened on Thursday, January 9, at 6.30 p.m., please note change of night and time for cub meetings from Jan onwards.
Cubs are on a Co Hike on February 16 – more details later.
National Draw results will be notified end of January when draw takes place at our National Office Dublin. thank you to everyone who supported this year again.
ARA CLUB NEWS
CLUB REGISTRATION – Registration for the Piercestown-Murrintown ARA Club is now due in January, still same charge of €20 as in previous years. Anyone over 55 will be more than welcome to join, gets you membership card which covers discounts in some stores, attend our yoga classes and more.
YOGA DAY – Our Yoga classes are back next week January 14 with Niamh Boggan from 2.45 – 3.30, chair and floor yoga available so do come along and try it with us.
ANNUAL COACH TOUR DONEGAL – Deposit for this tour (€100 per person) will be collected at St Martin’s Centre on Tuesday, January 28, at 7.30 p.m. Trip is on August 24. Price for weekend €300 – three nights DBB at Great Northern Hotel Bundoran Co Donegal. SRS €15 per person per night.
DAY TRIPS – April 21: trip to Banagher Co Offaly, trip on river Shannon, with visit to Tullamore Dew in Tullamore and lunch at Flynns in Banager all included in price. Evening tea on way home at own discretion. Please ring Ann at 087 6677411 to book your place.
