Vickers shines for Gorey
Premier Division
Gorey Rangers illustrated again that they’re in the title race for the long haul with a commanding 4-0 win over last season’s beaten cup finalists Rosslare Rangers on Sunday.
Dylan Vickers contributed a hat-trick for the league high-flyers, while Paul Brennan also got his name on the scoresheet.
North End United will take some stopping though, and they put another three points on the board when edging out Courtown Hibs 2-1.
Dale Flynn and Adam Beary hit the back of the net for the Sky Blues, while Colin O’Brien got the goal for Hibs.
Shamrock Rovers remain in touch after eking out a 1-0 win in Bunclody, with a second-half goal from Chris ‘Hopper’ Kenny the difference between the sides.
Moyne’s season seems to be going from bad to worse and on Sunday they suffered a 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Forth Celtic.

Division 1
Ferns United boosted their promotion hopes on Sunday when they hit second-placed Moyne Rangers for six goals without reply.
Conor Jordan bagged a hattrick for the impressive winners, while Ryan Nolan added a double and Patrick Breen also got in on the act.
Adamstown kept themselves firmly in the promotion hunt with their sixth win in a row as they edged out St. Cormac’s 3-2.
The winners scored through Alan Bradley, Chris Mahon and an own goal, with Liam Walsh and Matty Dunne (penalty) hitting the back of the net for the saints.
Robert Dempsey helped himself to a hat-trick for Glynn Barntown as they overcame Bridge Rovers 5-3.
Davo Miller and Kieron Carty also got in on the act, while Kevin
Murphy (two) and Shane Murphy scored for the Castlebridge side.
Tombrack battled back from a two-goal half-time deficit to earn a share of the spoils against New Ross Celtic.
The Barrowsiders looked to be in control at the break, with a Shane Murray double earning them a 2-0 advantage.
However, Mick Kelly pulled one back for Tombrack and the comeback was complete when the New Ross Celtic goalkeeper failed to prevent a Kevin Kenny corner from crossing the line.
Division 2
Curracloe United moved level on points with St. Leonards at the top of the Division 2 table after easily accounting for Shamrock
Rovers on Sunday.
The high-flying seasiders ran out 5-0 winners, with Conor Sutton bagging a double and Seán Keane-Carroll, Robbie Staples and Stephen McGuire scoring a goal apiece.
Enniscorthy United eventually shook off the stubborn attentions of Gorey Celtic 4-2 after withstanding a fightback from the north county men.
United looked to be in complete control at the break, with a Willie Dobbs double and a Craig Foley strike giving them a 3-0 advantage.
However, the Gorey outfit pulled two goals back through Greg O’Rourke and Jordan Davies to set up a nervy finish, before Dylan Groarke sealed the deal with a goal in injury time.
