COMMUNITY GAMES
Taghmon Community Games will hold a meeting on Thursday, February 6, in Alice Brady’s at 8 p.m. to plan upcoming events for the year. If anybody would like to help out with Community Games events this year in the area, all are welcome to come to the meeting. Look forward to seeing you there.

Second and third class have just completed their entries for the Sightsavers Junior Painter competition. Good luck to them all.
Third and fourth class are halfway through their swimming lessons, they are learning lots and having fun.
Third and fourth class are going to the Panto in Adamstown on Wednesday morning to see their production of Beauty and the Beast.
Barry Foley in fourth class is the new under-11 County champion in handball.
Megan and Ellie Murphy competed in the ‘She’s Ace’ handball competition in Mayo last weekend. They did well and had a great time.
The Credit Union table quiz is taking place on Sunday, February 2, in Riverside hotel, Enniscorthy. Best of luck to our under-11 and under-13 teams taking part.
GAA CLUB NEWS
The lotto jackpot wasn’t won last week. The next draw is on tonight at 8.30. The jackpot will remain at €14,000 till we get a winner but the reserve jackpot will keep going up while we wait. It’s now up to €5,300. Please encourage any family or friends living away from the area to support the draw through the online Taghmon-Camross page on the KlubFunder website. The deadline for online sales is at 6.30 on draw night and the minimum spend on the online system is €6. Tickets can also be bought from usual outlets.
The LGFA club are running walking to get fit sessions on Monday and Wednesday evenings down at the centre (from 7.30 onwards) if you are looking to start or resume a new exercise programme for 2020.
New members to the club is always very welcome. Check out the club Facebook page over the coming weeks for registration details and other ways to get involved.
CAMROSS DRAMA GROUP
After two successful performances of ‘The Year of the Hiker’ by John B Keane in Camross and Fethard-on-Sea last weekend, the cast and crew are now looking forward to entertaining audiences in Clonroche Hall Saturday the eighth and Sunday, February 9.
The following weekend, we are in St Michael’s Hall, Wexford town Saturday and Sunday February 15 and 16, then onto the DLI festival circuit.
