ST FINTAN’S GAA
Two St Fintan’s men are having a busy campaign to date. Shane Pettit had no sooner finished assisting St Peter’s college in the Leinster schools senior football championship than he stepped out on St Patrick’s park Enniscorthy to assist the Wexford under-20 football team in defeating Carlow in the Eirgrid Leinster championship.
Jim Rossitter was a member of the Wexford senior football team that travelled to Dungarvan to take on neighbours Waterford in the Allianz football league. The game was played in appalling conditions with Wexford taking the spoils by the narrowest of margins. Well done, men.

ALL BLACKS AFC.
Congratulations to Paddy Cogley, who wins €210 in this week’s split-the-pot draw. Last week’s winner was Peter Kennedy €227. Well done lads and thanks for your invaluable support. It’s easy to play-just stick your name and number on the official All Blacks AFC envelopes available locally and put €2 in the envelope and you never know... it could be you.
Congratulations to our three under-14 girls who have been selected for the 2020 Gaynor Cup in Limerick this summer: Meave Kenny, Aoibheann Rankin and Sophie Moran. Well done and enjoy.
Our under-9 girls travelled to Tombrack in the recent past some great football was played with Molly, Nia and Aoibhe getting goals, well done to all nine girls involved and big thanks to Alan and Sandra for looking after the girls.
Up next our under-16 girls second team welcomed St Joseph’s to Casey park... where unfortunately proved to strong for our girls winning 4-1, with Ciara getting the goal for Blacks. Well done all involved.
The under-16 lads were unlucky to come out on the wrong side of a 3-2 result against Crossabeg this afternoon. Goals from Jake and a great free kick from Lee (that the coach and Lee’s Dad Tom was heard saying ‘He will never score from there!’) just weren’t enough for the lads to get the draw or sneak a win. Well done to all the guys (and Holly) for playing in such tough blustery wet conditions.
