TEXT ALERT AGM
The Piercestown Text Alert AGM will be held on Friday, March 6, at 7.30 p.m. in St Martin’s Community Centre. The AGM is open to all, so a good attendance is important. Everyone Welcome.
ST MARTIN’S TENNIS CLUB
Introductory sessions for beginners and improvers for those who wish to try out or return to tennis – are being held at St Martin’s tennis club on Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Fee €5 per session p.a.y.g. Come along and give it a go. Enquiries to 087 9266055.
SCOUT GROUP
We invite all young boys aged between 6-17 to join our group for fun, activities, learning by doing and out and about events throughout the year.
Beavers aged 6-9 and Cubs aged 9-12 meet every Thursday from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Piercestown Scout and Guide Hall (Knockingall Org Community Centre). So come along, join other young boys who are having a great time each week.
We also now have a Venture Group re-opened aged 15-17 year-olds, plan your own activities and enjoy many county and national events. Contact Noel Whitmore at 086 3706210 or Ann Rochford at 087 6677411.
PARISH CLEAN UP
25th Wexford Piercestown Scout Group are calling on parents, grandparents and other interested groups or individuals to come and join us on Saturday, April 25, at 11 a.m., when the Beavers, Cubs and leaders are organising a Parish Clean Up in conjunction with An Taisce and Wexford County Council.
We will cover the three roads leading from the church (Rathaspeck, Killiane cross and Lightwater cross) We have Hi Viz, Gloves, Litter Pickers and Lots of Rubbish Bags. So come along, lets get the dirt and rubbish out of our parish. a small request from Piercestown Beavers and Cubs. Please remember everyone to take home your rubbish, starting today. Thank you all very much.
ARA CLUB NEWS
Annual Coach Tour Donegal – August 24. Price for weekend €300 – three nights DBB at Great Northern Hotel Bundoran Co Donegal. SRS €15 per person per night.
