Brendan Howlin tests his knowledge at WLOS quiz

WEXFORD Light Opera Society’s annual fundraisin­g table quiz in Wexford Harbour Boat and Tennis Club was a big success with 22 teams taking part.

The event led by Tony Brennan as quizmaster, raised over €1,000 towards the Society’s forthcomin­g production of ‘Titanic - The Musical’ in the National Opera House from April 27 to May 2.

Among those testing their general knowledge were the Labour TD Brendan Howlin and the Mayor of Wexford Cllr. George Lawlor who has appeared on stage many times with the Light Opera Society. The winners were James McDermott and Joanne Flood’s team.

Currently in full rehearsals, Titanic is directed by Tom O’Leary with musical director Fintan Cleary, chorus mistress, Eithne Corrigan and choreograp­her Aisling Doyle.
