ON THE CATWALK WITH FASHION SOCIETY AT WEXFORD CAMPUS
MEMBERS of the Fashion Society at the Wexford Campus of IT Carlow became models for the night and took to the catwalk for a successful fashion show in the Talbot Hotel.
The featured fashions included labels from The Loft, Charles Pierce Menswear and brands such as SKFK, Louch London, Compania Fantastica and Wild Pony sponsored by the Savage Agency as well as outfits designed and hand made by Elena from InStitch.
The Loft models included Anna de Vos, Tyla Van Straaten, Patricia Boyne, Aliysha Diston, Katie Dooley and Leanne Hennessy who were joined by Elena in modelling for the Savage Agency while the four male models for Charles Pierce Menswear included Noel Vitorino, Francis Sinclaire, Liam Crowley and Sushan Lama.
The event was organised by the Fashion Society to raise funds for a cultural trip by members to London Fashion Week or the World of Wearable Arts in New Zealand.
The Society was founded last September by president, Anrike de Vos after she started college at the Wexford Campus. She hopes that the fashion show will become an annual event.
Anrike and vice-president Patricia Boyne thanked everyone involved in the show, including the make-up artists Caitlin O’ Grady and Momi Kay, photographers Taz Smith, Shine Abrahams and John Carr and all the models.
They also had a special word of thanks for society members Ciaran O’Brien who organised the music and created posters and Dean Connolly who arranged a raffle and welcomed people at the door.
