Speedy Doyle will be major Ferns asset

THE MOST notable transfer between Wexford clubs has seen speedy county Under-20 hurling attacker Diarmuid Doyle move to Ferns St. Aidan’s from Marshalsto­wn-Castledock­rell.

The newcomer donned red and white for the first time in the opening round of the All-County Football League, and he will be a considerab­le asset to last year’s beaten semi-finalists.

HWH-Bunclody have lost Michael Connors and Fergal Kelly to Our Lady’s Island and Ballyhogue respective­ly, while David Kennedy has joined Geraldine O’Hanrahans from Rathnure.

Eoghan Cashin has also moved to the New Ross town club from Adamstown, while Darren O’Grady made the short hop from Clongeen to Bannow-Ballymitty.

Noel Kennedy and Seán O’Neill have arrived to Naomh Eanna from Kilanerin and Clonee respective­ly, with Daryl O’Connor transferri­ng from Buffers Alley to Crossabeg-Ballymurn.
