BEREAVEMENTS

It is with great sadness we learned of the death of Carmel Sheehan, Greenore Park, Rosslare Harbour. Carmel (née Maloney) passed away on Sunday, March 8, having battled cancer for four years. Carmel was a native of our neighbouring parish, Our Lady’s Island and was the beloved wife of Paco and loving mother to Aaron.

A huge crowd attended her funeral Mass in the Church of the Assumption, Our Lady’s Island and afterwards she was laid to rest in Our Lady’s Island Cemetery. She is deeply missed by her husband, son, grandchildren Clara and Jack, mother Nellie, sisters Marie, Ann and Helen, brothers Eddie, Thomas, Ger and David, daughter-in-law Leonnie, mother-in-law Bernie, extended family, relatives and friends. Carmel was heavily involved with KRH Tops of which she was a talented singer and entertainer and is sadly missed by all her close friends there. She was predeceased by her father Tommie.

WE extend sympathy to John Doyle and family on the death of his brother Joe, Barryville, Rosslare Harbour, who passed away on March 1. Joe was a quiet unassuming man, who worked at sea all his life.He was laid to rest in St Mary’s Cemetery, Enniscorthy beside his late parents Hannah and Peter.

May they rest in peace
