Golden successes for Wexford Camera Club
Members of Wexford Camera Club scored a series of successes in Irish Photographic Federation competitions and fellowships. Vladimir Morozov was awarded his first Gold Medal after entering an image titled ‘Fall’ in the IPF’s Photographer of the Year competition and winning out over entries from all over the country.
Marie Phelan presented a body of work to the Irish Photographic Federation and gained a Fellowship distinction for 20 submitted images, representing the first award at this level for the club.
Kenny Goodison presented a body of work to the Federatiion and gained a Licentiate Distinction for 10 submitted images. Wexford Camera Club guides and supports members to achieve distinctions which are demanding at all levels.
Meetings are suspended during the current crisis but the club is still in business operating online for now.
‘Members are enjoying their photography as a wonderful way to benefit from the great outdoors when the need to be outside is greater than ever - keeping a physical distance of course. Not only outdoors, a great hobby to work on indoors too’, said Marie Phelan.
Wexford Camera club welcomes new members whatever their level, style of photography, or type of camera.
When restrictions are lifted, members will meet every second Monday at 8 p.m. in Wexford Harbour Boat and Tennis Club. Find the club online at www.wexfordcameraclub.ie or on facebook.
