Wexford People

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES

-

OUR local food producers do an amazing job at making the very best food and drink products for the people of Wexford and beyond. We are all very lucky to have exceptional quality food produced in our county and we should be proud.

During these difficult times we all need to make an extra effort to buy locally produced food and drink products wherever possible, in order to ensure that we still have a local food industry there when we are over the Corona Virus Crisis.

Most of our local producers are small family businesses (that’s why we called our non-profit network of producers the Wexford Food Family!) and depend on local sales to stay in business.

They have all been hit hard by the closure of restaurants, pubs and cafés and are struggling to survive.

Every food and drink producer is showing great innovation in making sure that you can get their products

All of our producers are taking the utmost precautions in the production of all food and drink products to ensure the safety of consumers. Food produced locally gets to your table quicker and more directly.

The Wexford Food Family calls on everyone to support local food producers by choosing them first and foremost when shopping – in order to keep our food businesses going, keep our families and our teams in jobs and ensure that we have a strong, sustainable food source when we beat this crisis.
