Local Businessman responds to new workplace regulations due to Covid-19
AS the local economy prepares to return to trading in the coming weeks, local business-man Thomas Kelly is poised to make the transition to re-opening hassle free for companies seeking to become Covid-19 compliant.
The Kelly family have been in business in Wexford since 1936 and own Billy Kelly’s Pub in the Faythe and Kelly’s Corner on King Street. Like every other publican, Thomas was forced to shut the doors in early March and is now is operating a new venture, one he hopes will enable Wexford companies to hit the ground running with regard to the new regulations.
“I started to look into what extra precautions would be required to reopen my business and keep staff and customers safe, which led me to do a lot of research on products and prices in the market. I managed to source high quality sanitiser and PPE at excellent rates. After realising that pubs would be one of the last businesses to return trading, I decided it would be an excellent opportunity to pass on this knowledge to fellow business people in Wexford and surrounding areas”.
Thomas is now focusing his efforts on helping to kick-start the local economy by providing these vital products to shops, offices, construction companies, schools and any type of business reopening after weeks in lockdown.
