Berry - who also missed a firsthalf penalty - floated a sweet free-kick into the net in the 52nd minute, with Ian White’s consolation for Adamstown ensuring a few anxious moments before the finish.

SEEING DOUBLE: Talk about seeing double - but on the double!

The St. Martin’s hurling and camogie teams had qualified for the national Féile na nGael finals, with two sets of twins from the same family involved.

Ciara (a current soccer star) and Aoife Rossiter were born on February 12, 1996, and their twin brothers, Pádraig and Darragh, followed on October 1, 1997.

For any family to have a child take part in Féile is a great experience, but to have four in action on the same weekend was truly something special.

SARS HISTORY LAUNCH: Players, officials and supporters of the Sarsfields past and present were out in force in their Páirc Charman home on May 8, 2010, as a big crowd gathered to celebrate the official launch of their history book by one of the club’s favourite sons, Billy Walsh.

MAGNIFICENT MOYNE: Moyne Rangers won their second Youth Premier Division title in a row with a 4-1 win over arch-rivals Shamrock Rovers.

Niall Thorpe netted a hat-trick, while Timmy Dwyer also scored for the team captained to glory by Jimmy O’Leary.
