GAA CLUB NOTES

Preparatio­ns have begun for the gradual re opening of our club grounds.

The walking track is open for a limited time per day with the hour from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. dedicated to cocooners.

Please adhere to our one way system on the track by following the signs. Please observe the usual HSE guidelines.

KILMORE QUAY ‘ROOM TO WRITE’ ON ZOOM

‘Write Here Write Now’ is the title of the next Write by the Sea Literary Festival’s Room to Write Workshop facilitate­d by music journalist, editor and author Jackie Hayden online by Zoom on June 20 (10 a.m. – 11.30 a.m.). The workshop will focus on memoir writing.

Jackie is one of Ireland’s most respected writers with more than 15 books to his credit.

Speaking about the workshop, Jackie said: ‘In my workshop, designed for writers and aspiring writers of any level, I give prompts and triggers to help participan­ts to get their words down on paper or up on their screens and they are frequently surprised by what they can produce once they make a start.’.
