PARISH NOTICE

A message from Fr John Carroll: Just a short word by way of well wishes and blessing as we start out on a New Year. Restrictions mean that we can only meet virtually via the Barntown Heritage Group Facebook page each Sunday at 11.15. Thank you to Paul and Michael Brazzill for their help each week.

Hopefully the Vaccine will roll out quickly this year and we can get back to meeting physically earlier rather than later. As we await that welcomed day, let us resolve to stay close to God and each other, ready to get back to being the vibrant and active parish we have been to date.

Thank you for your ongoing support and assistance through these days. (Fr John).

GAA GROUNDS CLOSED

Following the new government guidelines, the Gym, Hurling Wall and Tennis Courts are now closed. The walking track will remain open. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to use these facilities when it’s safe to do so.

GAA CLUB LOTTO

Glynn-Barntown GAA Club will hold its last lotto on the January 21, $5. The draw will be done virtually and observed by members of our executive committee. The jackpot is €2,400. We thank all our paid up lotto members for their continuous support of the lotto in what is a vital fundraiser for our club. Good luck everyone.

GAA PRO

A massive thank you to Méabh Cooney, who has stepped down as PRO of the club after eight years in job. Méabh was always a pleasure to deal with and her tremendous dedication to the job ensured that everyone knew what was happening from the academy to adult teams. We wish Méabh all the best. Welcome to Róisín Doyle, who will be replacing Méabh in the role.
