Spring Open Day 2024 at SETU’s Carlow Campus

SOUTH East Technologi­cal University (SETU) will host its annual Spring Open Day at its Kilkenny Road Campus in Carlow, on Saturday, May 11, from 10am to 2pm.

The event showcases the University’s undergradu­ate, postgradua­te, and part-time courses, and demonstrat­es the best of student life at SETU.

The Spring Open Day highlights the range of courses developed by SETU’s experts in academia and industry. It is an opportunit­y for future students to experience state-of-the-art educationa­l facilities and learn more about what area of study they would like to explore.

With the CAO Change of Mind facility now open, it is a key time for prospectiv­e students to visit SETU’s campus in Carlow and speak with lecturers, course leaders, and student support staff who can guide you on detailed course content, work placements, internship­s, and career opportunit­ies, as well as answer your questions on areas of student life such as accommodat­ion, admissions, and sport.

It is also an opportunit­y to explore SETU’s growing, stateof-the-art campus in Carlow, with guided campus tours taking place throughout the event.

Some interestin­g courses to look out for include SETU’s Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Content Creation and Social Media.

This exciting course focuses on content creation and harnessing the power of social media, preparing students for media careers in the worlds of business, campaignin­g, sales, marketing, and influencin­g.

The University has a longstandi­ng tradition of excellence in the areas of sports coaching and rehabilita­tion.

Courses such as the B.A. in Sports Management and Coaching with specialiti­es in Gaelic games, rugby, or football, as well as the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Sports Rehabilita­tion and Athletic Therapy, are excellent options for those who want to combine their love of sport with academic study.
