BALTINGLASS

-

This weekend Baltinglass GC had its Men’s President, Dave Prendergast’s prize in warm but very showery weather. Despite these showers there was a very good turnout and as ever these days the course was in superb condition and you could really see how the rain has helped settle in the ground around the reshaped bunkers.

The winner of this year’s Presidents prize was none other than 2015 President Ned O’Keeffe with a brilliant score of 66 playing off a handicap of 17. Well done Ned, it’ll be a while before you see 17 again!

On Sunday evening the Club hosted the Presidents Prise presentation along with the presentation of prizes from the previous 6 week’s competitions. Club President Dave Prendergast presented his prize to Ned O Keeffe and in doing so thanked Competitions Secretary Niall Doogue for running the competition, the course staff and volunteers for the superb presentation of the course, Andrea and Gavin for looking after us all in the Bar and restaurant and finally James D’Arcy and DAR Golf for all the work that they have done on the course over the past number of weeks.

In Accepting the 2016 Presidents prize Ned O Keeffe thanked his playing partners he reiterated all the other comments in praise of the course and the volunteers and most of all he thanked Dave Prendergast for the wonderful prizes that he has provided for his competition.
