with the aim of minimising disruption for local residents and getting people in and out of Bray as quickly and efficiently as possible.
As part of this, road closures and traffic restrictions will be in place throughout the weekend. Full details are available on: www.BrayAirDisplay.com.
A number of ‘park ‘n ride’ car parks will be available for visitors and organisers are making every effort to encourage anyone travelling by car to use these facilities.
However, the strong message to those planning on attending the event is to use public transport, allow extra time for the journey and plan to arrive early.
The display will kick off each day at noon.
‘ To really enjoy the event and to ensure a stress-free journey we are encouraging spectators to take public transport and make a day of it by arriving early,’ said Mick Glynn, Director of Bray Air Display.
The event’s main sponsors are the Irish Aviation Authority, Wicklow County Council and Bray.ie.
This year’s event will feature 27 jets, 46 aircraft and 50 support crew.
Eleven acts will perform on Saturday, July 23, with five more acts added to the mix on Sunday, July 24, bringing Sunday’s total to 16 high performance air display acts.
Performing on both days, acts include The Frecce Tricolori, Breitling Wingwalkers, Black Knights, The Triggs, British Spitfire, Irish Coast Guard search and rescue, and more.
Performing on Sunday only are The Red Arrows, The Viggen & Draaken, The Blades, Irish Parachute Club, and Aer Lingus 321.
