Renewed baby Alannah appeal
GARDAI HAVE renewed their appeal for information about baby Alannah, who’s remains were discovered in Bray in May.
On May 4, the newborn baby girl was found at the Greenstar recycling facility.
Greenstar workers and members of the community attended a ceremony at Redford Cemetery in Greystones, where the infant was laid to rest.
A member of staff found her while working with a team at the centre.
Superintendent Pat Ward is in charge of the investigation surrounding the discovery of the new born baby girl.
‘ Three months have passed since the discovery of baby Alannah,’ he said.
‘I am concerned for the welfare of baby Alannah’s mum.
‘She is most likely in an anxious state of mind and in need of medical assistance.
‘I appeal to mum to immediately seek medical treatment.
‘Myself or Sergeant Sorcha Fitzpatrick are available at Bray Garda Station to provide assistance to mum and dad. We will handle any contact discreetly and sensitively.’
Superintendent Ward issued a further appeal to anyone who may have any information, however small, that can assist in establishing the circumstances leading to the discovery of baby Alannah to contact the gardai at Bray Garda Station on (01) 6665300, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
