Kildare nabs the big one
THE third and final Wicklow County Development Draw took place last weekend with the top prize of €10,000 heading across the border to Kildare after a ticket sold by the Baltinglass GAA Club scooped the healthy sum on offer.
Carbury’s Jack Cully was the lucky name on the ticket and he pockets the not insignificant sum for his original investment of €50.
The winner of the €5,000 secodn prize was much closer to home in the form of Tinahely’s Ciara Stokes while Carnew’s Bernie Nolan grabbed herself a healthy €2,500 for third prize.
Roundwood’s Liam Brady nabbed €1,500 after he purchased a ticket through the An Tochar club while Baltinglass pair Maire O’Shea and Ann Hunt walked away with €1,000 in the last of the significant prizes on offer.
The remaining prizes, all for for €150 each, were won by the following: Colm O Neill, Blessington; Breda Mc Donald from Arklow; Shamie O’Neill, Glenealy; Frank Daly from Newtown, Punchestown, Naas with a ticket from the Hollywood GAA Club; Alan Kinsella from Aughrim; Kathleen Clarke c/o Mick Mills, Blessington; Keith Hanlon, Valleymount; John, Aisling and Dean Gahan from Bally annon in Rathdrum; Katelyn and Adam O’Brien from Broadstone in Baltinglass; Alex and Katie Murphy from Bawnogues in Baltinglass with one of several tickets sold by the Baltinglass GAA Club; Patrick Gahan from Baltinglass; Philip Bracken from Laragh thanks to a ticket he bought from his own club Laragh; the Rathnew Under-12s c/o S Mitchell from Rathnew; Lar Behan from Upper Ballard in Shillelagh after he bought a ticket from his own club and finally Cormac Doyle from Ticklash in Rathdrum.
