Pat’s power to victory over depleted Bray side

- At Greystones

the foundation for this win in the opening half which saw a goal each from Ciaran McGettigan and Conor O’Brien in the early stages which saw the rest of the team respond with a string of points from Conor O’Brien, Jordan Pettigrew, and Simon Boucher, while corner-back Adrian Dunne also moved up field to get his name on the score sheet with a point, while a rare Bray Emmets attack brought a point from corner-forward Garret Crowley which saw the Pat’s men with a commanding lead of 2-11 to 0-01 at half-time.

The winners continued their dominance with points from top scorer Jordan Pettigrew, and Johnny Carton, while Ciaran McGettigan showed his ability with a long range point while Jordan Pettigrew and Simon Boucher and classy corner-forward Conor O’Brien continued to cause havoc in the Bray Emmets defence which saw them add six points between them in a team that has a nice blend of youth and experience.

On this occasion the winners had too much firing power but should not get carried away with this result as Bray Emmets were very much under-strength and no doubt that much stronger opposition lies ahead in the quarter-finals and beyond.
