BALTINGLASS

-

Lotto - Congratulations to Peadar Osborne who was was the lucky winner of €15,800 in the Balto lotto. He has been a loyal supporter of the club for years and it was with great pleasure Chairman, Seamus Kelly and treasurer Con Murphy presented him with his cheque at the clubhouse recently.

The Baltinglass lotto is one of the longest running club lotteries in the county and Peadar is just the most recent of a long line of successful supporters to scoop the prize. A time like this affords us the opportunity to thank all of those who are involved; the ticket sellers, those who run the draws, those who distribute and collect and those who check the tickets on a weekly basis.

Most of all we would like to express our sincere thanks to all of you who purchase tickets weekly. Without your help, we would be unable to provide football for boys and girls from the age of five right up to adult level.

In the draw held last week, the prize money on offer was €6,000. There were no match four winners. However, there were also seven match match three winners, each of whom win €45.

The jackpot for the draw to be held on August 15 was to be €6,200 and was held in Timmins’ Pub on Weavers Square.

Lastly, well done to all of those eagle eyed readers who spotted the typographical error in last week’s piece. The five match three winners in the draw which was won by Peadar, each received €60 and not €600 as was suggested.
