Our Senior football team lost to Eire Óg Greystones in the Keating Trophy at Arklow on Sunday on a score line of 3-10 to 2-4.

Eire Óg Greystones played with the aid of a strong breeze in the first half and were ahead 1-7 to no score with 25 minutes played in the game.

When we woke up from our slumber and started to play some football and we scored 2-1 when the referee blow for half-time with the score of 1-7 to 2-1.

Aided with the breeze in the second half we were first to score a point to leave only two points in the game but this was as good as it got as we conceded two goals and things could have been worse only for some great saves by goalie Fergal Harmon.

Eire Óg went on to win the game by a comfortable margin. They play Augrim in the next game in this competition. Our scores came from Derek Daly 1-1, Michael Foley, a goal, Anthony Furlong, two points, and Liam Keogh, a point.

Our Junior ‘B’ football team play Enniskerry in the semi-final of the county ‘B’ Junior championship at Arklow on Sunday at 2pm. Our club would wish to encourage all our supporters to come out and support the team.

Congratulations and well done to Michael Dwyers under-12 hurling team who won the county under-12 league final on Saturday, beating Kilcoole in the final to complete a fine double in both codes.

Our club wish to convey their sympathy
