A wet Saturday morning in Bridgewater Centre Park in Lamberton didn’t stop play for our Little Astros...full of life and seemingly oblivious to the weather conditions .. all enjoying their hourly football session.

Our Little Astros Club caters for boys and girls between four and seven years of age and provides a fun introduction to football in a very safe and secure environment.

Our fully qualified coaches are always welcoming to new players so do drop up any Saturday morning at 10am - loads of fun guaranteed!

Our under-13A DDSL (sponsored by Wood Industries Rathdrum Ltd) welcomed Leixlip FC to our Astro facility on Saturday afternoon.

This team, having won the WDSL treble title last season, have moved up to a challenging DDSL division and are certainly rising to this challenge with great determination, having drawn their first game against Firhouse Clover and won their second against Castleknock FC.

They emerged winners against Leixlip FC on the day with a score line of 4-2. On the scoresheet for Town were Louie Harris Hingerty, Ryan Kavanagh, Ben Somers and Ben Long. Well done!

Our under-14A team, under the management of John Scanlon and Mick Mahon, who have also stepped up to the DDSL league this season, travelled to Cabinteely FC on Saturday morning.

Walking away with a comfortable win of 3-1, our goal scorers were Sean Clare and Kyle Nolan with a brace. A great win, well done boys.

Our club lotto fund currently stands at a very impressive €6,700. Tickets are available from our club shop, with any committee member or in various outlets throughout the town. The draw takes place in our main clubhouse at 9.30pm every Thursday night. Best of luck to our ticket holders for this week’s draw.

Our Bingo Snowball is now €3,800! A great reason to join us this Thursday evening where our resident bingo caller Mick Dicey Reilly is ready and waiting to call the lucky numbers! The first number is called at 8.30pm in our main clubhouse, a great night is guaranteed!

Our Facebook page houses many pictures and match reports, along with various news items of happenings within the club. Do check us out at The Town - Arklow Town FC.
