Jack transforms littered Glen Dingg

Jack Reynor couldn’t hide his disgust at finding litter strewn around Glen Ding in Blessingto­n last week and shared his disgust with his Twitter followers.

The west Wicklow man and star of ‘What Richard Did’ and ‘ Transforme­rs: Age of Distinctio­n’ was out for a woodland walk with his fiancée Madeline Mulqueen when they stumbled across illegally dumped rubbish littering the countrysid­e.

In a video he posted on Twitter, he said: ‘so we’re out spending our afternoon up in Glen Ding in Blessingto­ng cleaningg upp all these cans and bottles that are lying around, which is pretty disgusting. We were out for as bit of a stroll and we found all this and it’s really horrible so we’re cleaning it up.’

He went on to share photos on Twitter of black bags of rubbish, commenting ‘ this is really disgusting and upsetting.’

Reynor also launched an appeal for anyy members of the public willing to volunteer some time and assist with the clean-up he and Madeline were carrying out, sharingg their location with his 12.3k followers.

‘Anybody who wants to come up and give us a hand getting all this s*** back down, here’s our location.’

The couple ended up collecting ten bags of rubbish whichh they disposed of in a recycling centre.

Ian Davis, Project Manager of PURE, sent the actor somee tweets compliment­ing him on his clean-up efforts.

‘Once he started tweeting his disgust, the whole thing wentt viral. It’s not often you have a Hollywood star highlighti­ng the dumping taking place in Wicklow. He tweeted that he had collected ten bags and I tweeted back that PURE had collectedd 200 tonnes of rubbish this year. I hope his interactio­n will makee people more aware of the impact dumping has.has.’
