Albert’s Winning Streak continues

ARKLOW MAN APPEARS ON SHOW FOR A THIRD TIME

- BY DEBORAH COLEMAN

ARKLOW was on a Winning Streak on Saturday evening as Albert Bolger from Thomastown played the game show for the third time.

Following appearances in 2010 and 2012, Albert was back in the hot seat once again after he sent in a lucky ticket with three stars.

Such was Albert’s good fortune that the lucky scratch card was one that he found on the street in Arklow. It was purchased in Pettitt’s SuperValu on the Wexford Road.

Albert, who comes from a family of 12, said he thoroughly enjoyed the day of filming and was delighted with his €15,000 prize.

‘I had a great day and we were treated like movie stars. I am very pleased with my winnings,’ he said.

While he was disappointed that the ‘ high-low’ game didn’t favour the contestants, Albert said that he was happy with the amount he achieved in the end.

He added that he will always continue to purchase the scratch cards and play the Lotto each week.

‘I love competitions and I get a thrill from gambling. I will continue to play Winning Streak and I will continue to enter as many competitions as I can. I won €100 on the Ireland’s Own crossword the other day so that was another prize,’ he said.

Albert said that he has no immediate plans for his winnings except to ‘put in into the Post Office.’
