KILTEGAN

-

Our Junior ‘B’ football team lost to Enniskerry in the semi-final of the Junior ‘B’ championship at Arklow on Sunday. The final score: 1-10 to 0-7. Enniskerry were first out of the blocks with some early scores which left us chasing the game we were then hit with some early injury’s to Luke Byrne and Shane O’Keefe to add to some early injuries and a suspension to some of our key players before the match.

Overall we put in a great performance in the first half against the breeze and were only 1-5 to 0-5 behind at half-time but we failed to make use of the breeze and take some scoring chances from close in frees which cost us dearly in the end.

So ends our involvement in this years championship we wish Knockananna and Enniskerry the best of luck in the final. Our scores came from Christy O’Toole 0-03, Steven Coogan 0-02, PJ Daly and Joey Maher a point each.
