Under-13 Coolboy 8, Wicklow Rovers 1 - The under-13s played Wicklow Rovers away and won 8-1.

The goals flew in from all over the team Rory, Owen, Wicktor, Callum and Luke getting a hat-trick. A great team performance starting in defence with Billy in goals, Columba Odhran Ruiri Dominic right throughout the team with a special mention for Macdara, and Jake Declan working hard for the team

Under-14s result - Coolboy 1, Wicklow Rovers 1 – Scorer: Declan Touhy. Coolboy played out an entertaining draw in blustery conditions at home to Wicklow Rovers ‘B’.

It was a fairly even game with both teams creating some chances.

In fairness to both teams it was end to end with both defences under pressure.

Wicklow won a couple of corners before half-time, the constant pressure reaped dividends for Wicklow, when just on the stroke of halftime, they managed to convert a ball bouncing in the area.

The second half started with the wind behind Coolboy backs, a switching to a three-man attack Coolboy put on the pressure hitting the crossbar three times before Declan Touhy who had been battling well, converted a chance that fell to him in front of the goal from delightful corner from Matthew Dodd.

The games closing minutes played out in similar fashion with Coolboy probably edging the play. While a draw could be seen as fair result, it Coolboy could feel those few inches of woodwork could have made the difference.

Youth lost 7-1 against Wicklow Town - A lack of bodies contributed to the downfall of the youth team on Saturday.

With a minimum of 11 players and lads been asked to play in unfamiliar positions it was always going to be tough against a well organised Wicklow team, and so it came to pass.

Despite Lorcan Rossiter scoring a fantastic goal, Coolboy struggled. When they were reduced to 10 following an injury to Liam Butler it was the writing on the wall.

Wicklow finished comfortable winners on a 7-1 score line.
