Caring convoy raises €11,000

-

A convoy of 113 tractors and 17 vintge cars took to the roads around Tinahely on Sunday for the 10th annual KARE Tractor Run.

The event was a resounding success raising in excess of €11,000 for KARE which depends on fundraising as a vital source of additional income to promote inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities.

A large crowd of tractor and vintage car enthusiasts gathered outside the KARE Local Service to lend their generous support to this charity Tractor Run. Coffee, tea and tasty treats galore were served in the community hall before and after the tractor run.

This fundraiser could not happen without the collective effort of so many amazing people who gave their energy, time and commitment.

Tinahely Local Service extends a massive thanks to all our friends and supporters who came along to show their support and a special thanks to all the participants.

Their fundraising efforts would not be possible without the wonderful generosity of the our sponsors, supporters and volunteers. Organisers wish to extend sincere thanks to all the businesses, shops and organisations who generously supported us in any way throughout the years.

KARE is a voluntary organization which was founded in 1967 by parents and friends of people with an intellectual disability.

Tinahely Local Service was established in 2003, and has gone from strength to strength ever since and is now based in a purpose built unit at Tinahely Community Hall.
