SEAN ALLEN will top the bill on Arklow Boxing Club’s annual tournament in the Arklow Bay Hotel on Friday night, November 4.

Sean’s opponent will be Tony Browne from St Michaels club in Dublin, who has a reputation as a hard puncher.

Fergal Redmond will meet Browne’s club mate Matt Killian Reid, also a noted big puncher.

Of the younger boys, Aaron Tuke boxes the talented Lee Mackin from Dealgan, Josh Whitmore meets Paul Costello (Dealgan) and Padraig Keogh boxes Caolin Travers (also Dealgan).

Damien Abiloga boxes Jack Mackin (Dealgan) and Daniel Fox is in with Joe O Donnacha (Dealgan). Daniel Byrne boxes Reece Atkinson (Dealgan) and Sean Fleming will trade punches with Kevin Doran of Tullow and Owen Moore takes on Paddy Sutherland from Tullow.

Daniel Feokrytov was stopped by Adam Daly (Olympic) while Daniel’s brother Philip was impressive in his defeat of Naoise O’Leary, from St Pat’s.

Daniel Fox pulled out all the stops to beat the fancied Oisin Sheridan of Olympics.

On Sunday Liam Shaw kept Adam Sinnott (Rathnew) at long range to earn a win and Paddy McKenzie had a classic battle with Gary McDonagh out of St Pauls, Waterford, and came out a unanimous winner.

Daniel Byrne received a walkover. More news next week.
