Club Challenge As part of the recent think-tank, members were asked to give suggestions that may help the club going forward.

One of these ideas was to raise awareness of Baltinglass GC in the surrounding areas of Wicklow, Carlow and Kildare in the hope that we could attract new members to join our club.

As part of this initiative It was decided to try an inter-club golf competition, where we invite non golfing clubs (GAA, Soccer, Rugby etc.) from these areas to come and play a scramble team competition in Baltinglass with the emphasis on non-golfers participating where possible.

After the game the participants will be invited in to the clubhouse for some finger food and we will give out a small prize to the winning team.

The captain will welcome them and talk about our club, inform them of our current membership offers and have maybe a question/answer.

If any member is involved in such a club or organisation (It doesn’t have to be a sports club) we would ask them to put such a team together and get them out on Nov 12th. Who knows hopefully we will convert some of these people into members but what is certain is that if we don’t try it won’t happen.
