Coolboy under-11s v Avonmore yellow under-11s - Avonmore under-11s yellow winning run continued yesterday when they travelled away to Coolboy.

Both teams started out strong and were neck and neck throughout the whole match. It was Avonmore who opened the score however, with a well taken goal by Mark O’Reilly.

Coolboy soon cancelled it out with a goal of their own and then went onto score another just before half time. we soon levelled the game again, but sloppy defending saw another go past Oscar in goal, who it has to be said kept us in the game. some positional changes steadied Avonmore who then went on to score three unanswered goals (Mark, Gavin and Ethan).

Excellent defending by Rhys, Leighton and Kyle made sure that Coolboy’s goal scoring chances were now kept to a minimum. This game was definitely a battle to the end.

Thanks to Coolboy for a very entertaining match. well done lads, a well deserved win.

Avonmore under-10s v Arklow Utd - Avonmore under-10s had a great win today.

Three nil down at half-time against a good Arklow united team. Second half was a different story, three all within 15 minutes and the lads kept going for a final score of 6-5. Great fighting lads and a great win.

Arklow under-15s v Avonmore under-15s - Arklow 2, Avonmore 3. Another cracker of a game, great performance from the lads. 2-1 down at one stage. special mention for Danny Morley who was man of the match, unbeaten record in tack, well done boys.
