A Co Wicklow man is looking to take the hassle out of buying household white goods with his up-and-coming website AppliancesDelivered.ie.

The website, which was set up nine months ago, is currently running a successful radio and TV advertising campaign fronted by comedian Dermot Whelan.

Newtownmountkennedy man Phillip Martin is the company’s CEO and is well-versed in all things appliance-related.

The idea behind the website is to take the hassle out of buying the appliances at all stages, through an easy to use website, competitive prices, and a wide range of products and delivery options.

‘We do the shopping around for you, scouring competitors’ websites and online shopping destinations to provide the best prices,’ said Mr Martin. ‘We also offer a price match promise ensuring our prices can not be beaten, but in the off chance that you do find your product cheaper elsewhere, we will match that price for you, no questions asked, no hassle involved.’

The site offers a selection of big name brands as well as exclusive brands, while the website offers a range of search options so that, for example, someone shopping for a washing machine can filter their search by drum size, brand, spin speed or washer capacity.

AppliancesDelivered.ie was originally BuyAndSell.ie, an Irish-owned company, based in Dublin. Established in 1991, it was originally a print-based classified publication butlaunched its first website in 1998 and, in 2014, transformed to an online only business. In January 2016, the company decided to change its name to reflect the direction the business has taken and AppliancesDelivered.ie was launched.
