BLESSINGTON

-

Girls presentation night - Well what a super night we had for our girls presentations. We reflected on a wonderful year with over 160 girls competing from under-7 to under-16. The top table was full of silverware which was the rewarding success of our fantastic talent.

We got the boring bits and bobs out of the way first! Huge appreciation was shown for our coaches, parents, sponsors, grounds people, kitchen helpers, photographers, the Community College and most importantly the girls themselves for all their hard work, dedication and enthusiasm (the list is endless). They are a credit to us and themselves and we are very proud of one and all!

We then moved on to the important business...the awards. Our under-7s and under-8s were presented with lovely certificates for their wonderful participation in 2016.

We were Kildare League winners at under-9, under-11 and under-13 with all awarded medals - an excellent achievement and some outstanding displays of football throughout.

A super year again for our under-12 girls with the White team winning the ‘C’ Shield.

Our Blue team with resounding success won the Division 2 League and did us very proud reaching the ‘A’ championship final, for which they received runners up medals.

Next was our hardworking under-14s who were also ‘A’ championship runners up. This bunch of girls were amazing all year and deservedly won the Division 2 League to top off their brilliant efforts. Lastly, the under-16 ladies who also won their Division 2 league were presented with their medals. We moved onto the individual awards for each had section which was extremely hard for all the coaches to choose from the array of talent.

The Mannequin Challenge concluded our night with a very enjoyable and hilarious finish well done and thank you all so much. We look forward to great things for 2017.
