Arklow Town Black v Avonmore Yellow under-11s - Avonmore under-11s Yellow travelled to Arklow town yesterday, to take on Arklow Town Black under-11s team. The game started at a very fast pace with both teams displaying some excellent football.

It was plain to see that this game was evenly contested, both teams had chances in the first half, but the score line was nil all at the halfway mark.

Avonmore started the stronger of the teams in the second half and Gavin Cullen put them in the lead with a well taken goal.

He soon put another between the teams when he headed an excellent cross from Mark O’Reilly into the back of the net. Calem in goal made some fine saves while Kyle Kenny in our back line had an excellent game.

Arklow Town were not to be out done however and they dug deep to come back and put two into the net. All in all a draw was probably the fairest result. An excellent sporting game of soccer by both team

Arklow Town under-15s v Avonmore under-15s - Arklow 3, Avonmore 2: In first league game we lost narrowly, we were poor in first half and were 3-0 down.

In the second half we played much better and were unlucky not to get a draw in the end. Goals were scored by Cormac McGraynor and Francho Lendines. Best players were Cody Reid, Kelan Busher and Drew Murray.
